PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Darios I. Circa 520-505 BC. Siglos (Silver, 5.35 g). Half-length figure of the Persian king to right, wearing radiate headdress and holding bow in his left hand and two arrows in his right. Rev. Oblong irregular incuse. Carradice Type I (pl. XI, 10). BMC Arabia pl. XXVII, 25. Rare. Nicely toned and well-struck on a full flan. Good very fine.
