LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 330-290 BC. Nomos or Didrachm (Silver, 20 mm, 7.56 g, 4 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing grain wreath, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to left; above leaf, griffin to right; below leaf, ΛΥ. Johnston Class C, 6.16. Minor strike weakness, otherwise, very fine.
