KINGS OF MACEDON. Perseus, 179-168 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31.5 mm, 15.36 g, 10 h), of reduced Attic weight, Pella or Amphipolis, c. 171-168. Diademed head of Perseus to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙ-ΛΕΩΣ ΠΕΡ-ΣΕΩΣ Eagle with spread wings standing right on thunderbolt; above eagle's head, monogram of NK; to right, monogram of AY; between legs, monogram of ΛΩ; all within oak wreath; below, plow to right. HGC 3.1, 1094. Mamroth, Perseus 20b. Attractive, with a fine portrait, toned and struck on a broad flan. About extremely fine.

MACEDON. Koinon of Macedon. Period of Nero through Titus, circa 54-81. Assarion (Bronze, 16 mm, 3.78 g, 7 h). Nike advancing to left, holding a wreath in her extended right hand and a palm branch with her left; to left, round shield. Rev. ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΩΝ Macedonian shield within oak wreath. AMNG 231, pl III, 9 = BMC 91 = RPC 1622. Extremely rare, apparently the second example known. Sharply struck and attractive, with glossy dark, brown-green surfaces. About extremely fine.

KINGS OF PAEONIA. Lykkeios, Circa 359-335 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22.5 mm, 12.78 g, 6 h). Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΛΥΚΚ-ΕΙΟΥ Herakles, nude, holding his club in his upraised right hand, battling the Nemean lion to left; to right, behind Herakles, bow and quiver. Paeonian Hoard 63 (same dies). SNG ANS 1019 (same dies). A very sharp, toned and attractive example. Extremely fine.
