Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter in his left; below throne, monogram of ΘEY . Price 2783. A very rare variety, not illustrated in Price; attractively toned and centered. Extremely fine.

BAΣIΛEΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on a throne with a back, holding long scepter in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, monogram of ΣΤΕΙ; below throne, and strut, monogram of ΛΟΥ. Price 817. Bright and clear. Nearly extremely fine.

Sharply struck in high relief from fresh dies, very attractively toned and well-centered. Good extremely fine.
