SPAIN. Castulo. Mid 1st century BC. Unit (Bronze, 28 mm, 14.55 g). Diademed male head to right; in field to right, here barely visible, crescent to right. Rev. kaśtilo Sphinx walking to right, left forefoot raised; in field to right, 8-pointed star. SNGBM 1314 ff. CGB MBS 53, April 2012, 622 (same dies). A remarkably attractive piece, with a very dark green patina and a male head of an extremely pleasing, local style of great charm. About extremely fine.
