Cn. Domitius Ahenobarbus, 128 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.74 g, 7 h), Rome. Helmeted head of Roma right; stalk of grain to left, denomination mark below chin. Rev. CN · DOM Victory driving galloping biga right, holding reins in left hand and whip in right; below horses, man attacking lion with spear. Babelon (Domitia) 14. Crawford 261/1. Sydenham 514. With an interesting hunting scene on the reverse. Scratches in obverse field, otherwise, very fine.
