ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 412-404 BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.48 g, 4 h). Head of bald and bearded satyr to right, with animal ear. Rev. Σ-I / Θ-Α Two dolphins, one above the other, swimming left and right; all within shallow incuse. Cf. Le Rider, Thasiennes 12 and SNG Copenhagen 1033. A coin of remarkably fine, high-classical style. Some surface roughness, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, lion's forepart to left; below throne, Α. Thompson 97. Bright and clear. Extremely fine.

ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated to left on throne, resting her left elbow on her shield and holding Nike in her outstretched right hand; in outer left field, crescent to left; in inner left, cult image; in the exergue, monogram of ΠΑ. Arnold-Biucchi 23 (O6/R23). Thompson -. A superb coin of splendid style, struck in high relief and elegantly toned. Good extremely fine.
