PHRYGIA. Philomelium. Pseudo-autonomous issue, 2nd-3rd centuries AD. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.79 g, 6 h). ΒΟΥΛΗ Veiled head of Boule to left. Rev. ΦΙΛΟ ΜΗΛΕ Fortuna standing facing, head turned to left, holding rudder with her right hand and cornucopia with her left. Unpublished, but for a coin of Philomelium with a head of Boule to right, see von Aulock 3917 (same reverse die). Perhaps unique, and with a very artistic and fine head of Boule. Extremely fine.

From an American collection.
