Michael VI Stratioticus, 1056-1057. Tetarteron nomisma (Gold, 20 mm, 3.97 g, 6 h), Constantinople. Nimbate and draped bust of the Virgin Mary orans facing between monograms of ΜΗΡ and ΘV (= Μήτηρ Θεοῦ). Rev. +mΙΧΑΗΛ ΑЧTΟCRΑT Michael standing facing on cushion, wearing crown and loros and holding a long cross in his right hand and an akakia in his left. DOC 2. SB 1841. Very rare. A beautiful and sharp example. Good extremely fine.
