EGYPT. Alexandria. Hadrian, 117-138. Diobol (Bronze, 24.5 mm, 9.17 g, 12 h), dated regnal year Iς = 16 = 131/2. AVT KAI TPAI AΔPIA CЄB Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right, seen from behind. Rev. L-Iς Isis enthroned to right, suckling the infant Harpokrates, crowned with pschent and holding lotus bud; in field to left, jug; in field to right, palm branch. Dattari (Savio) 1750. DS 7699. RPC 5815. A rare variety, with only three examples recorded in the RPC. Attractive dark patina, overlaid with reddish sand. Good very fine.
