BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Hippostratos, circa 65-55 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 10.12 g, 12 h). ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΙΠΠΟΣΤΡΑΤΟΥ Diademed and draped bust of Hippostratos to right. Rev. Maharajasa tratarasa mahatasa jayamtasa Hipustratasa (in Kharosthi). Hippostratos, in military dress, riding horse rearing to right; on the lower right, monogram. Bopearachchi 5k. HGC 12, 450. MIG 443a. SNG ANS 1622-3 var (legends). Sharp and clear. About extremely fine.
