KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.50 g, 11 h), struck under Antigonos I Monophthalmos, Kolophon, c. 310-301. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on backless throne, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter with his left; to left, monogram of KA; below throne, crescent. Price 1825. Light roughness on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
