PAMPHYLIA. Aspendos. Circa 330/25-300/250 BC. Stater (Silver, 24.5 mm, 10.82 g, 12 h). EI Two nude wrestlers, standing and grappling with each other. Rev. ΕΣΤFΕΔΙΙΥΣ Slinger standing to right, preparing to loose his bold; in field to right, triskeles to left above vertical club, set on the ground. Apparently an unpublished variety, with all known examples from auctions, as Triton XIV, 2011, 338 and R. Ratto, 4 April 1927, 2253. Extremely rare; well struck, clear and lustrous. Struck slightly off-center, otherwise, extremely fine.
