CARIA. Kaunos. Circa 410-390 BC. Stater (Silver, 21.5 mm, 11.64 g, 3 h). Winged female goddess (Iris?) moving to left, her head turned back to right, holding a wreath in her right hand and a kerykeion in her left. Rev. Triangular baetyl flanked by two letters of the ethnic, đŠŒ-Γ (K-B in Carian). HNO 220. Konuk 101 (O42/R42). SNG Ashmolean 38. SNG von Aulock 2349 (same dies). Well-struck and with a pleasing depiction of the goddess. Some minor marks and mottled toning, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
