Alexius I Comnenus, 1081-1118. Hyperpyron (Gold, 35 mm, 4.33 g, 6 h), Reform coinage, Constantinople, 1092-1118. + KE RO-HΘEI / IC - XC Christ seated facing, nimbate, raising right hand in benediction and holding Gospels in his left. Rev. A ΛE ΞIΩ ΔECΠOTΗ - TW KO MNH NΩ Alexius standing facing, crowned, wearing jewelled robes and holding labarum in his right hand and cross on globe in his left; above, Manus Dei; on the chlamys border, six pellets. DOC 20c. SB 1912. Perfectly centered with wide margins. Obverse very slightly double-struck and slightly crinkled, otherwise, very fine.
