Romanus IV Diogenes, 1068-1071. Tetarteron nomisma (Gold, 17.5 mm, 4.03 g, 6 h), Constantinople. +ΘΚΕ ΒΟΗΘ / MHP ΘV Facing bust of the Theotokos, orans, holding nimbate bust of the infant Christ. Rev. +PωMAN EYΔK Crowned facing busts of Romanus and Eudocia, holding between them a globe surmounted by long cross. DOC 3. SB 1862. The obverse particularly nice with a gentle tone around the devices. The reverse somewhat softly struck, otherwise, good very fine/very fine.
