Romanus IV Diogenes, with Eudocia, Michael VII, Constantius, and Andronicus, 1068-1071. Histamenon (Gold, 26.5 mm, 4.41 g, 6 h), Constantinople. KΩN MX ANΔ Three figures, each standing, facing on a circular cushion: at the center, Michael holding labarum in his right hand and akakia in left; to his left and right, Constantius and Andronicus, each holding globus cruciger and akakia. Rev. + RωMANS - EYΔOΠτM Christ standing facing on footstool, crowning Romanus and Eudocia, each standing, facing and holding a globus cruciger. DOC 1. SB 1859. Excellent centering and bold strike. Obverse a little soft, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From the Trausnitz Collection, acquired from Aufhäuser on 29 June 87 (inv: 512187) for 1300 DM.
