Hadrian, 117-138. Aureus (Gold, 19 mm, 7.25 g, 7 h), Rome, 119-122. IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. P M TR P COS III Jupiter, nude to the waist, seated to left on throne, holding thunderbolt in right hand and scepter in left. BMC 107. Calicó 1304a. Cohen 1060. RIC 513. Boldly struck in high relief and lightly toned. Minor edge fault on the reverse at 4 h, otherwise, very fine.
