SICILY. Piakos. Circa 400 BC. Litra (Silver, 11 mm, 0.56 g, 9 h). ΠIAKINO - Σ Head of nymph to right, wearing ampyx, sphendone, earring and necklace. Rev. ΑΔΡΑΝΟ[Σ] Bull butting to right; in exergue, here barely visible, fish swimming to right. Campana 4. Jenkins, Coinages, pl. VII, 3. Very rare. A coin of splendid style, struck from very well engraved dies, and with a lovely dark patina as found. Slightly ragged flan, otherwise, extremely fine.
