BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Hermaios, circa 105-90 BC. Tetradrachm (Billon, 26 mm, 9.80 g, 12 h), Posthumous issue struck by Indo-Skythians, uncertain mint in the Paropamisadai, c. 85-80. BΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ / ΗΕΡΜΑΙΟΥ Diademed and draped bust of Hermaios to right. Rev. Maharajasa tratarasa Heramayasa Zeus seated facing slightly left, right hand raised in benediction gesture and holding scepter in left; in right field, monogram. Bopearachichi 10A. CHIS 18T. HGC 12, 298. Cf. SNG ANS 1362-5 (drachm). Deeply toned. Scratches, otherwise, very fine.
