IONIA. Smyrna. Circa 170-145 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 15.80 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate Menekrates. Turreted head of the Tyche of Smyrna to right. Rev. ΖΜΥΡ / ΝΑΙΩΝ in two lines; below inscription, monogram of Menekrates; all within an oak wreath. BMC 4. Milne, Autonomous 141. SNG Copenhagen -. Well centered and toned. Porous, traces of corrosion and scratches, otherwise, very fine.
