GERMANY. Nuremberg, City. Undated but struck in 1701. Medal (Silver, 21.5 mm, 2.77 g, 12 h), struck from dies for the gold Taufdukat. KOMMET HER - ZU MIR ALLE Radiate and draped bust of Jesus Christ to right, set on base inscribed IE/SVS. Rev. ✿SIHE DAS IST GOTTES LAMM. WELCHES DER WELT SÜNDE TRAEGT Pascal lamb, with banner over his right shoulder, standing right on globe. Cf. Erlanger 2443 and Goppel 1069 (both gold ducats). Bright and sharp. Minor hairlines, otherwise, extremely fine.
