Brutus, spring - early summer 42 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20.5 mm, 3.77 g, 2 h), military mint traveling with Brutus in Lycia. LEIBERTAS Head of Libertas to right, wearing hair rolled back and collected into a knot behind. Rev. CAEPIO BRVTVS PRO COS Lyre between quiver to left and laurel branch tied with fillet to right. Crawford 501/1. RBW 1767. Sydenham 1287. Toned; struck on a broad -and slightly irregular- flan. Some uncleaned deposits and a chip on the reverse edge, otherwise, good very fine.
