PISIDIA. Malus. Pseudo-autonomous issue, 1st century. (Bronze, 15 mm, 3.38 g, 8 h). Laureate male head (Herakles?) to right. Rev. ΜΑΛΗ/ΝωΝ Club to right. Imhoof-Blumer, Kl.M. p. 385, 1. RPC Von Aulock, Pisidiens I 1056-1058 (same dies). Extremely rare and virtually unattainable - Von Aulock records just three examples, all of which are in museum collections Brown patina. Very fine.

Von Aulock recorded just three examples of this type, all of which are in museum collections (two in Berlin and one in Istanbul) and all of which share dies. This issue is also the only product from the mint of Malus, no other types having been struck, so the present opportunity is a probably the only chance a collector will ever have to acquire a coin from this rare Pisidian mint. Fortunately the coin is also quite nice, having clear types, being well centered, and lacking any significant problems which are so common on bronze coins from this area.
