PHRYGIA. Bruzus. Gordian III, 238-244. Diassarion (Bronze, 25 mm, 5.67 g, 11 h). ΑVΤ Κ Μ ΑΝΤ - Ω ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟϹ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right. Rev. ΒΡΟYΖ - Η - Ν - ΩΝ Demeter, holding two torches, driving chariot drawn by two winged serpents to right. BMC 27 (same dies). RPC VII 714.1 (A9/R1). Very rare. An attractive and well-centered example with a dark patina. About extremely fine.
