Marcus Aurelius, as Caesar, 139-161. As (Bronze, 26 mm, 9.40 g, 12 h), Rome, 145. AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII F Bare head of Marcus Aurelius Caesar to right, with light drapery on his far shoulder. Rev. COS II / S - C around cornucopia with a curve to left. BMC 1793 var. Cohen 112 var. RIC 1259 (Antoninus Pius). A rare variant with the cornucopia turned to left. With an attractive reddish-brown patina and an excellent portrait. Extremely fine.

Ex Gadoury, 6 December 2014, 173, and, apparently, from an uncertainly identified French sale of February 1993.
