BRUTTIUM. Lokroi Epizephyrioi. Circa 317-310 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 8.74 g, 6 h). Pegasus flying to left; below, thunderbolt. Rev. ΛOKPΩN Head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helmet with neck flap and pearl necklace. HN III 2342. Pegasi 13. SNG ANS 515 (same dies). Nicely centered and attractively toned. Reverse almost imperceptibly double struck, otherwise, extremely fine.

From the Vineyard Collection, bought privately from Baldwin's in London in June 1998.
