MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophoric Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 12.45 g, 11 h), c. 85-76. Cista mystica with half-open lid from which a serpent issues to the left; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two serpents coiled around a bow case; to left, monogram of Pergamon; to right, serpent-entwined thyrsos; between serpents' heads, ΔΙ above ΠPY monogram. Kleiner, Hoard 32. Pinder 107. SNG BN 1734-5. Toned and well centered. Obverse struck from a worn die, otherwise, very fine.
