ATTICA. Athens. Circa 449-404 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 17.17 g, 8 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet with palmette and three olive leaves. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing to right, head facing; behind, olive spray and crescent moon. HGC 4, 1597. Kroll 8. Cf. Svoronos pl. 17, 4. Nicely toned and attractive. Minor die fault on Athena's cheek, otherwise, about extremely fine.
