Laurel wreath tied below, containing ΟΒΟΛΟΣ / 5 / ΛΕΠΤΑ in three lines; below denomination, ESSAI flanked by two anchors (privy mark of the Engraver General, A. D. Barre, 1855-1878). Divo P92. RECI-NON Iokastos, bearded and draped from the waist, seated left on backless stool, holding long scepter in his right hand and left resting on hip; all within olive wreath. Herzfelder 16 (D9/R14). HN III 2471. SNG ANS 644 (same dies). Toned. Somewhat porous, otherwise, very fine.
