CARTHAGE. First Punic War. Circa 264-241 BC. Shekel (Bronze, 23.5 mm, 7.90 g, 6 h), Sardinian mint. Wreathed head of Tanit to left, wearing triple-pendant earring. Rev. Horse standing right; below, Punic 'G'. MAA 59h. SNG Copenhagen 214. Fine reddish-brown patina with earthen orange highlights, well centered and with an obverse strike that is particularly strong. Good very fine.
