SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25.5 mm, 17.12 g, 5 h), Babylon I, in the name of Alexander III of Macedon, circa 311-300 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in right hand, scepter in left; in left field, MI; below throne, monogram in wreath. HGC 9, 10f. Price 3752. SC 82.4b. Well-centered strike in high relief. Obverse die slightly worn, otherwise, good very fine.
