THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 420-400 BC. Drachm (Silver, 20 mm, 6.04 g, 3 h). Head of the nymph Larissa to right, wearing pendant earring and with her hair in a sakkos. Rev. ΛΑΡΙΣΑ / Ι - Α Bridled horse prancing to right, with loose rein. BCD 1131 (this coin). Hermann pl. IV, 10 (same dies). Lorber 2008, pl. 43, 65. Traité IV 695, pl. CCXCVIII, 5 (same dies). A lovely coin, nicely toned, in good silver and on a full flan; very possibly the finest example of this type known. Extremely fine.
