ETRURIA. Populonia. 3rd century BC. 10 Asses (Silver, 17 mm, 4.21 g). Female head to right, with her hair bound up by a broad diadem and wearing a triple-pendant earring; behind, value mark, X. Rev. Plain. HN III 165. Sambon 68a. SNG Paris 41. Vecchi 75.15 (this coin). Splendidly preserved, toned, and perfectly struck on a broad, full, flan, very probably the finest example known. Extremely fine.
