KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.10 g, 10 h), struck under Antigonos I Monophthalmos, Sardes, circa 318-315 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, monogram; below throne, Δ above monogram. ADM I Series XX. Price 2686 corr (monogram in left field). Very fine.
