KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 8.56 g, 12 h), Pella mint, circa 340/336-328 BC. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Charioteer, driving biga to right, holding reins with his left hand and goad in his right; below horses, Nike, holding wreath in both hands, flying to right. Le Rider 375 (same dies). SNG ANS 158 (these dies). Lustrous and very attractive. Some minor digs on both sides, otherwise, extremely fine.
