THRACE. Byzantium. Pseudo-autonomous issue, 2nd-3rd centuries. Assarion (Bronze, 20.5 mm, 4.94 g, 1 h). Head of youthful Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. BVZA-NTIΩN Grape bunch on vine with leaf to left and tendril to right. Cf. Schönert-Geiss 2114-6 (V19/R-). Dark brown surfaces. Nearly very fine.
