CYCLADES, Tenos. Circa 315-288 BC. (Bronze, 18 mm, 5.29 g, 12 h). Horned and laureate head of Apollo Karneios to right. Rev. T-H/N-I Grape bunch; to left, trident. Cf. HGC 6, 737 (arrangement of the ethnic). Cf. Joy 568 (same). Brown patina. Well-centered and struck, with complete legend and details. Very fine.

From the Vineyard Collection, acquired in December 1999.

This is a rare variety with the ethnic placed in the opposite position than normally seen. On most example of this type, the ethnic appears with the letters N-I in the upper field, and the letters T-H in the lower.
