ATTICA. Athens. Circa 86-42 BC. (Bronze, 21 mm, 7.05 g, 4 h). Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet . Rev. AΘE Owl standing facing on a Panathenaic amphora; flower in the inner right field; the whole within olive wreath. Kroll 123. Svoronos pl. 79, 31. Extremely rare with this symbol, given the fact that only one was found in the excavations in the Agora. Very fine.
