ATTICA. Athens. 129/8 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.88 g, 11 h), New Style, struck under the magistrates Diogenes, Posei.., and Hegema... Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. Α-ΘΕ / ΔIO-ΓE /ΠOΣE / HΓE/MA Owl standing facing on amphora; to left, Dionysos standing facing, holding thyrsos; on amphora, E (= month 5); below amphora, ΔI (= contractor’s initials). Thompson 416X (this obverse die reverse controls as 417a). Toned. Good very fine.
