MOESIA. Kallatis. Circa 3rd-2nd centuries BC. (Bronze, 21.5 mm, 8.02 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate Polyi... Wreathed head of young Dionysos to right; countermark of diademed head of Artemis(?) to right within oval incuse punched against neck. Rev. ΠΟ/ΛΥΙ in two lines within Dionysiac ivy wreath; above, KAΛΛA; to right, filleted thyrsos. AMNG I/1 221. HGC 3.2, 1829. SNG BM 212. SNG Stancomb 74. Clear countermark. Brown patina. Minor porosity and a few light cleaning marks, otherwise, fine.
