AKARNANIA. Argos Amphilochikon. Circa 330-280 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 8.68 g, 9 h). AP Pegasus with straight wing flying to right. Rev. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet with a neck flap; behind her neck, filleted thyrsos and Λ. BCD Akarnania 141 (same dies). Calciati -. Extremely rare - the second known example. Nicely toned and struck on excellent metal, well-centered and clear. Very fine.
