KORKYRA. Korkyra. Under Roman rule, circa 229-48 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 20 mm, 4.73 g, 9 h). Head of youthful Dionysus to right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. Pegasus flying to right; below, monograms of the city name, KOP, and of a magistrate, AP. HGC 6, 65. Cf. SNG Copenhagen 196-201 (controls). Toned, and of remarkably good style for the issue. Nearly very fine.
