KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Hemiobol (Bronze, 16 mm, 5.77 g, 3 h), uncertain Macedonian mint. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion’s skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Bow in bow-case and club; below, one-handled cup to left. Price 325. SNG Copenhagen 1052-3. Dark brown patina. Some corrosion marks on reverse, otherwise, very fine.
