KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.81 g, 12 h), Uncertain mint. Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY Athena seated to left on throne, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand, and leaning her left elbow on her shield; behind her, transverse spear; below Athenas hand, A; on side of throne, griffin to left. Cf. HGC 3.2, 1750. Thompson -. Nicely toned and with an unrecorded symbol on throne. Very fine.
