Constantius II, 337-361. Solidus (Gold, 20.5 mm, 4.36 g, 7 h), Sirmium, 355 - 361. FL IVL CONSTAN-TIVS PERP AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantius facing, turned slightly to the right, holding spear over his right shoulder with his right hand and, over his left, shield decorated with a horseman riding down a fallen foe. Rev. GLORIA REI PVBLICAE / SIRM (star in crescent) On the left, Roma, helmeted, draped, holding spear and with her head facing. On the right, Constantinopolis, turreted, draped, holding scepter, her foot on prow and with her head to left, seated on thrones facing one another, holding between them a wreath inscribed VOT/XXXV/MVLT/XXXX. Cohen 124. Depeyrot 12/1. RIC 59. BBFDDD-E-X graffito on the obverse (most under tone), otherwise, nearly very fine.
