KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.44 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Caria, c. 290-286. Laureate and bearded head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΒΑ Prow of galley to right; below, monogram of ΑΡ; to right, double axe. Newell 167. A remarkably sharply struck and attractive coin with a fine grey-green patina and earthen highlights. Extremely fine.
