Brutus, Late summer-autumn 42 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20.5 mm, 3.43 g), military mint travelling with Brutus and Cassius in western Asia Minor or northern Greece, struck under the moneyer P. Servilius Casca Longus. CASCA LONGVS Wreathed head of Neptune to right, with trident diagonally behind and below his neck. Rev. BRVTVS IMP Victory walking to right on broken scepter, holding palm branch with her right hand, and broken diadem in both. Crawford 507/2. CRI 212. Sydenham 1298. Two banker's marks below trident. Good fine.
