SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. (Bronze, 20.5 mm, 7.86 g, 3 h), uncertain Baktrian mint, perhaps Baktra, c. 290/86-281. Head of Dioskouros to right, wearing wreathed pilos; behind his neck, monogram within circle . Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ Forepart of horned horse to right; above left, Seleukid anchor; in field to right, monogram within circle. HGC 9, 87. SC 269.2. Rare and desirable, with a glossy brown patina. Very fine.
