SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 16.92 g, 12 h), Seleukeia-on-the-Tigris I, circa 300-281. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ Zeus seated left on high backed throne, holding Nike stretching right to crown him in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, monogram; below throne, Κ. ESM 13. HGC 9, 16f. SC 119.1a. Struck in very high relief. Very slightly doubled reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
